You guys had a really rough day, having to watch the movie, My Kid Could Paint That! After the movie you were supposed to write a response on your blog based on the questions outlined on our class blog.
We also had you upload the profile picture that you drew onto you your blog. Just to reemphasize, you were more than welcome to have the picture set as your profile picture on your blog but you also needed to have it as a separate post.

9.29 Wednesday
We will be talking more about Modified Contour Drawing next week. Wednesday's class will be an especially fun one. Mr. Jonny will be with you, and you get to do the following:
+ Continue watching My Kid Could Paint That.
+ Post on your blog a response to the question "What makes something Art?" Do you think that what Marla is painting is Art? Why or why not? Please write 1-2 paragraphs. Be specific!
+ Post your scanned artwork from last week to your blog.
Go here to download your drawing: Integrated Art Scans
Mr. Jonny will also show you how to adjust your image before uploading it to your blog, using Preview.
Why did you draw what you did? You can post it as your profile picture if you want - but please ALSO post it to the main body of your blog as a New Post. Tell us why you drew it and what you like about it. Be specific!
+ Finish Definitions worksheet.

Friday
1. Post a list of your favorite musicians or bands on your blog. At least five. Add it as a Gadget on the Sidebar.
Design > Add a Gadget > List
2. Post on the main area of your blog: Five Visual Artists you particularly appreciate. Find at least one example from each of them to post on your blog.
Example: Alexander Calder is one of my very favorite artists. I love his bold colors and shapes and sense of playfulness.

Resources
Hope you have all had a terrific (long) weekend! We look forward to hearing all about your various adventures over the holiday.
Please take a quick look at the tabs above this post - we just added one for "Resources." This will be added to throughout the year. Just wanted you to be aware that this is where we will post lists and links of various books, magazines, DVDs, and websites of interest.
See you tomorrow!

Congratulations
Nice work, everyone, setting up your blogs. We will be compiling all of these into a master list above (under "Class Blogs") where you can find the address for each student's blog.
Each student should "Follow" every other student in this class. So began adding each other as subscribers and let the fun begin!
Continue to expand and explore your blog - add your profile picture, write your bio, begin modifying the background images, colors, fonts, and layouts. Make it your own!
