9.29 Summary

You guys had a really rough day, having to watch the movie, My Kid Could Paint That! After the movie you were supposed to write a response on your blog based on the questions outlined on our class blog.

We also had you upload the profile picture that you drew onto you your blog. Just to reemphasize, you were more than welcome to have the picture set as your profile picture on your blog but you also needed to have it as a separate post.

9.29 Wednesday

We will be talking more about Modified Contour Drawing next week. Wednesday's class will be an especially fun one. Mr. Jonny will be with you, and you get to do the following:


+ Continue watching My Kid Could Paint That.


+ Post on your blog a response to the question "What makes something Art?" Do you think that what Marla is painting is Art? Why or why not? Please write 1-2 paragraphs. Be specific!


+ Post your scanned artwork from last week to your blog.

1. Post a list of your favorite musicians or bands on your blog. At least five. Add it as a Gadget on the Sidebar.

2. Post on the main area of your blog: Five Visual Artists you particularly appreciate. Find at least one example from each of them to post on your blog.

Example: Alexander Calder is one of my very favorite artists. I love his bold colors and shapes and sense of playfulness.
